Best Smoked Salmon Bagel Ever !! | Russ & Daughters | Lower Manhattan, New York

Besides burgers and fries, I heard that you could find all kinds of food here in New York. I haven’t had Sashimi for two months, which is too long that I was craving for any raw fish. That’s how I decided to try this, thinking of at least they’ve got smoked salmon. Holding the feeling of curiosity, I walk in the restaurant. I never thought I would be so satisfied after having it.

Quality: 2/2

First of all, the coffee was terrific. The amount of milk is customizable. I ordered a board/ plate, on which is salmon, onion, tomato, and bagel. Each ingredient must be fresh enough so that it can do so. Last but not least, I had the best bagel I’ve ever had in my life. It is crispy and warm from the first bite. Then, you can feel the softness from the inside when chewing.

From greeting, ordering, delivering to checking, the services are excellent. The lady at the door is very welcoming. Moreover, you can even discuss what to order with the staff behind the bar. He recommended The Classic because I told him that I was looking for salmon.

In general, the restaurant is immaculate, which they ought to be. Yet, I didn’t use the restroom so that I couldn’t tell from this part.

I can feel the comfort and coziness from the light blue decorations, at the first step into the store. The open bar setting is also part of the decor for those who sit at the bar.

Fast serving meals. Quicker than I expected. Plus, they are very creative to think of giving out little souvenirs with the bill: a postcard and a coffee candy. This is the best goodbye gift for any tourist visiting lower east Manhattan.
